Three Xerox machines. The same compact footprint, the same 20 pages per minute, the same 150-sheet tray, the same 1200 × 1200 dpi output — and the same cartridge. On paper they look almost interchangeable, yet the price runs from about ₹7,750 to ₹16,000.
So what are you actually paying for? Not speed. What separates the Xerox Phaser 3020, the Xerox B3025Bi and the Xerox B3025Ni is how many jobs the machine can do and how many people can reach it. Get those two right and the decision takes five minutes.
Here is the short answer, followed by the detail.

Worth noticing: the jump from the B3025Bi to the B3025Ni is about ₹1,000. For that you gain an automatic document feeder, fax and a wired network port. If more than two people will use the machine, it is the easiest thousand rupees you will spend all year.
Xerox Phaser 3020: the one-desk workhorse
Xerox Phaser 3020The Phaser 3020 does one thing: it prints, quickly and cheaply, in black and white. At 4.1 kg and roughly the size of a shoebox, it fits on a crowded desk, beside a billing counter or on a shelf in a flat.
What makes it stand out
- Lowest cost of entry. It is the cheapest way to get a genuine Xerox laser engine rather than an inkjet that costs more to run every single month.
- Built-in Wi-Fi. Print straight from a phone, tablet or laptop without running a cable or leaving a PC switched on to share it.
- First page in as little as 8.5 seconds. For short, frequent jobs — an invoice, a challan, a single letter — wake-up time matters more than pages per minute.
- Manual feed slot for letterhead, envelopes and the odd thicker sheet, without disturbing the paper in the main tray.
- One all-in-one cartridge that anyone can change in under a minute. No drum unit, no waste bottle, no service call.
Best for: a home office, a director's cabin, a site office, a second printer at the despatch desk, or any place where scanning and copying already happen somewhere else in the building.
The limitation is obvious and worth stating plainly: it cannot copy and it cannot scan. If your team will walk to another machine for either of those, buy the 3020 and enjoy the savings. If they will walk there twice a day, you have bought the wrong machine.
Xerox B3025Bi: print, copy and scan over Wi-Fi
Xerox B3025BiThe B3025Bi is the same compact class of machine with a scanner bolted on top. It prints, copies and scans at up to 1200 × 1200 dpi, connects over built-in Wi-Fi and prints from Apple and Android devices — which, in a small office with no server and no structured cabling, is exactly the right answer.
What makes it stand out
- Three jobs, one small box. Print, copy and scan from a footprint that still fits on a side table.
- No network cabling needed. It joins your existing Wi-Fi. For a rented cabin or a shop floor where you cannot pull a LAN cable, this is the deciding feature.
- Scan to a phone or laptop for sharing a signed document, a PAN card copy or a delivery challan on WhatsApp or email in seconds.
- Sharp 1200 × 1200 dpi output that keeps small print on forms, invoices and legal documents readable after a copy.
- Same low-cost cartridge as the other two machines, so a multi-printer office stocks one consumable.
Best for: a clinic reception, a two-person CA or consultancy cabin, a retail counter, a small trading office — roughly one to three regular users with occasional copying.
Where it gives ground is the document feeder. The B3025Bi copies and scans from the flatbed glass only, which means one sheet at a time, by hand, lid up and lid down. For five pages that is fine. For a 40-page agreement it is a chore that someone will complain about by the second week.
Xerox B3025Ni: the one a team can actually share
Xerox B3025NiThe B3025Ni is the model most small offices should be buying, and the one most of them skip to save a thousand rupees. It prints, copies, scans and faxes, carries an automatic document feeder and — critically — has a wired Ethernet port alongside Wi-Fi.
What makes it stand out
- Automatic document feeder. Drop a stack in the top, press start, walk away. A 30-page lease, a set of invoices or a full KYC file is scanned or copied in one action instead of thirty.
- A real network port. On a LAN the machine gets a fixed IP address and behaves like shared infrastructure: every PC sees the same printer, it does not drop off when the Wi-Fi hiccups, and nobody needs the host computer switched on.
- Fax on board — still a requirement for a surprising number of government departments, banks, pathology labs and legal correspondence in India.
- Scan to email and to a network folder so documents land where the team already works, instead of on one person's desktop.
- Same running cost as the cheaper models. You pay more for the machine once; the per-page cost does not change.
Best for: an office of four to fifteen people — a CA or CS firm, a law practice, a school or coaching office, a clinic with records, a factory admin desk, a logistics or despatch office.
Which one for which desk
Instead of matching specifications to a budget, match the machine to the work that actually happens at that desk.
| Where it sits | What happens there | Pick |
|---|---|---|
| Home office or director's cabin | A few pages a day, printed from a phone or laptop | Phaser 3020 |
| Despatch or billing counter | Invoices, challans, labels — print only, all day | Phaser 3020 |
| Clinic or diagnostic reception | Prescriptions, reports, the occasional ID copy | B3025Bi |
| Retail shop or small trading office | Bills, order copies, scan-and-WhatsApp a document | B3025Bi |
| CA, CS or legal firm | Multi-page agreements, returns, KYC sets scanned daily | B3025Ni |
| School, coaching class or society office | Circulars, forms, registers copied in batches | B3025Ni |
| Factory admin or logistics desk | Dispatch paperwork, purchase orders, faxed confirmations | B3025Ni |
| Growing office, mixed needs | One shared MFP plus a print-only unit at a busy desk | B3025Ni + Phaser 3020 |
That last row is the pattern we fit most often. One B3025Ni on the network for everything the team shares, and a Phaser 3020 parked at whichever desk prints constantly — usually billing or despatch — so that desk never queues behind someone copying a 50-page file. Both together still cost less than one mid-range A3 machine.
The number most buyers ignore: cost per page
A printer is bought once. Toner is bought for years, and that is where the real money goes.
All three of these machines take the same Xerox B3000-series cartridge, and SNA Infotech supplies a compatible cartridge at ₹750 + GST with a yield of approximately 2,000 pages. That works out to roughly 38 paise a page.
| Monthly volume | Cartridges a year | Approximate toner cost a year |
|---|---|---|
| 500 pages | About 3 | About ₹2,250 + GST |
| 1,000 pages | About 6 | About ₹4,500 + GST |
| 2,000 pages | About 12 | About ₹9,000 + GST |
Indicative, based on an approximate 2,000-page yield at 5 per cent coverage. Real yield varies with the type of document you print.
Two things follow from that table. First, a laser at this price beats an inkjet on running cost within the first year for almost any office. Second, since the running cost is identical across all three models, choosing the cheaper machine saves you money once, not every month — so choose on function, not on price.
Three questions that settle it
- Does anyone need to copy or scan at this desk? If no, the Phaser 3020 and nothing more. If yes, move on.
- Will anyone ever feed more than five pages at a time? If yes, you need the ADF, which means the B3025Ni. Flatbed-only scanning is the complaint we hear most often from offices that saved a thousand rupees.
- How many people share it, and is there a LAN? One or two users on Wi-Fi: the B3025Bi is enough. Four or more, or a wired office network: the B3025Ni, every time.
Buying in Vasai, Virar and the western suburbs
SNA Infotech runs a full branch office at Vasai East — not a satellite desk — alongside our barcode and label manufacturing unit. That means businesses across Vasai East and West, Virar, Nalasopara, Naigaon, Waliv and the surrounding industrial belt get the parts of a printer purchase that a web listing cannot provide:
- See it before you buy. Walk in and run your own document through the machine you are considering.
- Local delivery and installation, including Wi-Fi or LAN setup, driver installation on every PC, and scan-to-email configuration — tested before we leave.
- Cartridges in stock locally. No two-day wait when toner runs out mid-month.
- Service engineers in the belt, so a fault is attended from Vasai, not dispatched from south Mumbai.
- 3-year warranty options on the B3025 models, for offices that would rather fix the cost of ownership up front.
More about the branch, its address and its hours on our Vasai branch page.
Why source them from SNA Infotech
SNA Infotech has supplied and supported office print hardware for Indian businesses since 1989. As a Xerox partner we carry the full range, from these A4 desktop machines up to A3 VersaLink and AltaLink devices — but more usefully, we will tell you when the cheaper machine is the right one.
- Sized to real usage. Tell us the work, not the budget, and we will recommend accordingly.
- Delivery, installation and network configuration across Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai and the Vasai-Virar belt.
- Cartridge supply and annual maintenance contracts so hardware, consumables and service sit with one vendor.
- Buy or rent. Where capital is tight or the need is temporary, the same machines are available on rental.
- Over three decades of support experience, with pan-India coverage.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the Xerox B3025Bi and the B3025Ni?
The B3025Ni adds three things the B3025Bi does not have: an automatic document feeder for multi-page copying and scanning, fax, and a wired Ethernet network port. Both print, copy and scan at up to 20 ppm over built-in Wi-Fi.
Does the Xerox Phaser 3020 scan or copy?
No. The Phaser 3020 is a print-only A4 black and white laser printer with built-in Wi-Fi. If you need copying or scanning, choose the B3025Bi or the B3025Ni.
Which Xerox printer should a small office of five to ten people buy?
The B3025Ni. At that size people share the machine over a network and feed multi-page documents, so the Ethernet port and the automatic document feeder are what make it workable day to day.
Do all three printers use the same cartridge?
They use the same Xerox B3000-series cartridge. SNA Infotech supplies a compatible cartridge at Rs 750 plus GST with an approximate 2,000-page yield, which works out to roughly 38 paise a page.
Can these printers be used over Wi-Fi from a mobile phone?
Yes. All three have built-in Wi-Fi and support printing from Apple and Android devices, so you can print from a phone, tablet or laptop without any cable.
Is a 3-year warranty available?
Yes, on the B3025Bi and B3025Ni. Both are offered with either a 1-year or a 3-year warranty, so you can fix the cost of ownership for three years at the time of purchase.
Does SNA Infotech supply and service Xerox printers in Vasai and Virar?
Yes. Our Vasai East branch office covers Vasai East and West, Virar, Nalasopara, Naigaon and the surrounding industrial belt with local supply, installation, cartridges, service and annual maintenance contracts.
