Structured Cabling & Networking

Every great system runs on a great network.

Cabling & networking

The backbone your security and AV depend on

CCTV, video door phones, access control and AV are only as reliable as the cabling and switches behind them. On most sites the network and the security systems are bought separately and meet for the first time during commissioning – which is when everyone discovers the PoE budget and switch ports were never sized for them.

Our in-house electricians and network engineers handle cable laying with conduit, racks, patch panels, PoE and managed switches and Wi-Fi – all labelled and documented for easy support.

What we deliver

Cabling, switching and Wi-Fi

Warehouse & DC Wi-Fi

RF planning against the floor plan and rack layout, so aisles and loading bays are covered despite metal racking and moving stock.

Cloud-managed networks

Configure every branch, store or warehouse from one dashboard, spot failed ports early and roll out new sites from templates.

IP, VLAN & SSID design

Scanners, CCTV, guest and corporate traffic separated, with security policy defined per user group.

Active & passive networking

Core and access switching, uplinks and transceivers agreed up front, plus the passive cabling to match.

Copper cabling

Cat6 / Cat6A and armoured cable with conduit, I/Os, face plates and patch cords.

Racks & dressing

Wall and floor racks, cable managers and neat, tagged terminations.

PoE & managed switching

PoE budgets sized for cameras, door stations and access points, with lightning-protected ports for outdoor runs.

Telephony

EPABX and IP PBX systems with digital and IP phones.

Documentation

As-built records and asset lists with model and serial numbers for easy support.

Recent project

Data centre and warehouse networking for a national retail group

A large national retail group needed active and passive networking for a new data centre and its distribution sites, on tight project timelines.

  • RF plans, floor plans, switch topology, IP/VLAN schema and SSID requirements collected in week one
  • Core and access switching designed with Wi-Fi coverage for warehouse operations
  • Firewall uplinks and transceiver requirements coordinated before deployment
  • HP Aruba active and passive networking supplied and deployed

Outcome: Structured project inputs reduced on-site rework and delivered a scalable network ready for warehouse operations.

Recent project

Multi-city CCTV and cabling for corporate offices

A corporate client needed CCTV and cabling at sites in Noida, Delhi and Chennai without managing several local vendors.

  • Projects managed end to end from Mumbai, with cable and racks supplied by SNA
  • Noida scope: 17 cameras, a 32-port NVR, rack dressing, a gigabit switch, conduit work and 462 metres of cable laying
  • Brand-compatibility advice, such as matching the NVR to the camera brand

Outcome: One accountable partner for a multi-city rollout, with scope, cable lengths and materials documented site by site.

Questions

Structured Cabling FAQs

Add up the power of every camera, door station or access point, then leave headroom – PoE budgets are shared across all ports. Also check uplink speed: gigabit or SFP uplinks keep video flowing to the NVR without bottlenecks.

Standard Ethernet runs to 100 metres. Some PoE switches have an extension mode that reaches up to 250 metres at lower speed, which suits a single camera at a far gate. Longer runs need fibre or a repeater.

Racks, metal and moving stock change how signals behave. Coverage has to be planned from the floor plan and rack layout before any cable is pulled, with aisles and loading bays checked specifically.

Floor plans, rack layout, switch topology preference, an IP and VLAN schema, SSIDs and user groups, and firewall and server uplink details. Missing inputs are the most common cause of delay, so we collect them in week one.

Every site is configured and monitored from one dashboard, failed ports show up before users complain, and new sites go live faster from templates – without local IT staff at each branch.

Cat6 suits most offices and security systems. Cat6A is recommended for higher-speed backbones and future-proofing.

Yes. Every point is tagged and we hand over as-built documentation for future support.

Yes. We plan work in phases or after hours to keep disruption to a minimum.
